At The Green Turtle, we carefully select suppliers who share the same values as us, and who produce fantastic eco-friendly items we know our customers will love. These are often small, UK based businesses with real people working hard behind the scenes to develop and lovingly handmake sustainable products.
This blog series spotlights our suppliers. Find out more about who they are, their sustainable products and what goes on behind the scenes!

Superfly Soap
Anna Oxenden is the maker and owner behind Superfly Soap. We asked Anna to tell us a bit about the story behind Superfly Soap and what makes her handmade range so special.
Tell us a little about Superfly Soap. How did it all begin?
Superfly Soap originally started life in Central Scotland, with a simple mission: to create high‑quality, affordable, vegan cosmetics that cut down on plastic waste. When I took over the business, I moved the studio to a small village in Kent, but the ethos stayed exactly the same — handmade, sustainable, and accessible for everyone.
What inspires your approach to making skincare and haircare?

I’m passionate about creating products that are genuinely good for your skin and good for the planet. That means using natural, responsibly sourced ingredients, avoiding unnecessary fillers, and keeping everything vegan and cruelty‑free. I make everything in small batches so I can control quality from start to finish.
Sustainability is a big part of your brand. What does that look like day‑to‑day?
We’re proud to be a Plastic Free Champion, so every product is designed with waste reduction in mind. Bars are wrapped in recyclable or compostable packaging, and skincare comes in glass jars with aluminium lids. I also work hard to minimise waste in the studio — even our offcuts get repurposed.
Your range is wonderfully varied and our customers love it. What products are you most excited about?
The shampoo bars are always a favourite — especially the hard‑water‑friendly formula, which has been a game‑changer for a lot of customers. I’m also really proud of the skincare line. The Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Replenish Eye Cream have had amazing feedback, and it’s lovely to see people making the switch to plastic‑free skincare.
You even make products for dogs! How did that come about?

I’m a dog lover myself, and I wanted to create something gentle, effective, and eco‑friendly for four‑legged friends. The dog shampoo bars are mild, long‑lasting, and great for sensitive skin — and they smell lovely too.
What do you hope customers feel when they use Superfly Soap products?
I want people to feel that they’re making a positive choice — for themselves and for the planet. Switching to plastic‑free doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It can be simple, joyful, and genuinely effective.
